Assigning Default Roles to Multiple Resources

If a large number of resource objects has been created, an efficient way of assigning default roles to the objects is to proceed from the resource role side, i.e. to assign multiple resources to each of the relevant roles.

  1. Open the 'Resource Roles' catalog.
  2. Locate the role to be assigned and open it for editing.
  3. In the 'Resources' reference catalog of the editor, call action 'Assign' from the right-click context menu.

  4. A catalog of available resources opens. Select the resources which should be assigned the edited role and click 'OK'.
  5. The selected resources are now listed in the 'Resources' reference catalog of the edited role. Click 'Ok' in the role editor to save the result.

The resources have been assigned the role, which can be checked by opening any of the resources for editing and examining the value in its 'Default Role' attribute.
