Workflow Input Parameters

When the Compare Process is finished, the Compare Processing Workflow is started and it accepts Compare Results as input parameters:

  • If the Compare Process was started for one selected System, the corresponding Compare Results created during this process are passed as input parameters to the workflow.
  • If the Compare Process was started for some selected Systems, the corresponding Compare Results created during this process are passed as input parameters to the workflow.
  • If the Complete Compare Process was started (for all Systems), all Compare Results are passed as input parameter to the workflow.

Actions on External Systems

If you have to start an action on an external system (for example, the software removal), then you have to follow the company internal policy. If it is allowed, you can start a workflow directly by web service triggering the action in the external system or you have to step into the Service Request Management to request the software removal or re-installation in a process-driven way (incl. approvals etc.).

Please see also the 'Service Request Shop In Use' chapter.
