The above stated examples reveal a difference between the inner workings of the web and rich client scenarios:

• When using Valuemation web client, all of the operations are performed in the server time and the time zone offset is applied when the data is displayed at the client station.
• When using Valuemation rich client, all of the operations are performed in the client time and the time zone offset is applied when the data is written to the server.

This difference, however, is mentioned here only for completeness sake and is of no consequence to the end user.
