Font/Background

The Font/Background settings enable users to set their own color and font settings for Valuemation GUI elements.

• Desktop /  Sidebar

  Select font color and background color for the desktop and the sidebar. Choose 'Desktop' or 'Sidebar' and use the respective 'Change' buttons.

• Selection Color

  Set background color of the selected items in catalogs and editors.

• Font

  Select font and font size used in Valuemation GUI.

  • A font called 'Dialog' is used by default. This font is recommended as it provides a broad character set including Asian languages.
  • The font setting applies to the entire Valuemation GUI. (The distinction between catalog/view properties and control properties found in previous Valuemation versions is no longer available.)
  • The change of default font settings made in Global Settings applies only to new users and users who have not modified their user-specific font settings yet. If user settings have already been modified, this modification (stored in Valuemation mainparameters) overrides the global default. In such a case user settings must be used to set the new font settings for the particular user.
• Sample Text

  The 'Sample Text' area provides a preview of the used font. Text can be copied to the sample text area via standard Windows clipboard. This functionality may be useful e.g. to test if the selected font supports a particular target language.
