Escalation

Escalation settings relate to the Escalation process. In Global Settings, the administrator can enable and influence the process of escalation via the following settings and parameters:

  • Escalation Enabled

    Select this checkbox to enable Valuemation escalation.

    When escalation is enabled, settings on 'Escalation' global settings page influence Valuemation behaviour when it is started as an Escalation Server. When escalation is not enabled, these settings do not have any relevance.

  • Remove Log Entries After / days

    Select the 'Remove Log Entries After' check box to enable automatic deletion of log entires after the number of days specified in the 'days' field.

  • Log items to Log

    Use the check boxes in this section to specify what will be logged during escalation.

  • If an action cannot be executed

    Select how the application should proceed if an action cannot be carried out. Two options are available: to continue with the subsequent action or to stop the escalation altogether.

  • Parameter handling

    In the bottom part of the window, existing escalation parameters can be managed and new parameters created.

    • Create Parameter - create a new escalation parameter
    • Remove Parameter - remove the selected escalation parameter
    • Edit Parameter - open the selected escalation parameter for editing
