If the recommended archive creation method cannot be used, the last resort option is to use either platform-specific database administration tools (not available with all platforms) or the Valuemation console template.

Remember to also configure the ARCHIVE session in the appropriate 'properties' files (in the same manner as for other sessions, such as 'EXPORT_ORIG' etc.)

Note regarding the generic method of using a Valuemation Console template

Using a Valuemation Console template is a method which can be used for all platforms. It creates a DDL script without foreign key constraints, indexes and triggers. The drawback of this method is that it does not take into account some parameters which may have been used for the 'Create Table' commands in the original database. As a result the archive database may differ slightly from the original.
