Edge Details Section

You can define labels for the edges between any two related nodes.

The Edge Details section contains:

  • Label based on

Shows the object which the label is based on. You can select either the source, target or link object of the relation (if available).

    The Edge Details Definition

In the table, the selected attributes of the object which became edge labels are listed. For example, if you select the existing 'Service' node in the Node Definition section, you can see that there is an edge with the 'Role' label defined for the relation here in the Edge Details section. This label simply denotes that each person and service can have a role.

Note: It is possible to define more labels for the relation but only one can be displayed at the same time.

Use the Add Attribute/Delete Attribute buttons to manage the attributes picked as edge labels. See also 'Using the Edge Details Section' chapter below.

    The node attributes are:

    • Label based on

Shows the object which the label is based on.

    • Name

The name of the attribute which has been selected as the label name.

    • Display

Select the check box if you want to display the label by default.

It can be also enabled/disabled by a user in the Sidebar anytime later.

See the Edge Details topic to go through the individual definition steps.
