DB2

By default, Valuemation runs on all DB2 for LUW editions:

• DB2 for LUW Enterprise Server Edition
• DB2 for LUW Workgroup Server Edition

• DB2 for LUW Express Edition

Note: The use of the 'Express-C' version is not recommended.

The following database setting is recommended:

• Database heap:

  (DBHEAP) = 16394

• Default application heap:

  (APPLHEAPSZ) = 4096

• SQL statement heap:

  (STMTHEAP) = 238768

• Log file size:

  (LOGFILSIZ) = 80000

• Number of primary log files:

  (LOGPRIMARY) = 10

• Number of secondary log files:

  (LOGSECOND) = 4

If additional options such as DB2 partitioning or Materialized Query Tables are needed, the corresponding edition must be used.
